Firstly I wish to thank my stewards for their competent work which made my job much easier. With a few exceptions, the overall quality of the deerhounds was not up to my expectations. Where have all the yellow eyes come from? Where have all the flat feet come from? On the plus side I thought most had good flat bone, and tails were much better set than the last time I judged. I found myself splitting hairs on some placements.

PD. (3). 1. Westgate's Jamalison Winter Rayne. BP. Nice puppy with good topline good bone and angulation. Moved extremely well. 2. Rose's Gentiehun Tain. Good deep body with good bone and strong neck. Moved well. 3. McDonald, Martyn & Hindley's Birkhall Rhett Butler Naf Taf.
JD. (3). 1. MacBean's Claonaiglen Lomond. Very sound moving well. Small ears, good topline, good depth of rib. 2. Hawkins' Kwaricott Archimago. Good head, neck and ears. Not much between 1 and 2. 3. Foy's Glenfoyble In The Gloaming.
ND. (2). 1. Jennings' Brylach MacClintock. Substantial dog, good shoulder and front. Nice ears and good topline. Moved well. 2. Hawkins' Kwaricott Asclepius. Nice head with lovely small ears. Good bone and depth of rib. Moved well.
PGD. (9). 1. Pink's Romanie Rye At Greyhawks. Substantial hound. Good bone, deep rib, good angulation. Moved like a dream well set tail. Pushed hard for the CC. RCC. 2. Peach's Readwald Thor To Kilbourne. Lovely expression with beautiful small ears. Strong neck and good depth of rib. Lost out on movement. 3. Gillie's Dorrator Gethan.
LD. (5.1). 1. Mr Rhodes' Gentom Peacemaker Taf. Big strong dog. Lovely head and expression. Good bone, small ears, strong neck. Good front, deep body. Moved well. CC and BOS. 2. Pink's Greyhawks Romanie Rom ShCM. Substantial dog, well put together. Good bone with good topline and bend of stifle. 3.Gilhooly & Morrissey's Lord Seafield Of Hartvalley.
OD. (5.1). 1. Peach's Ch Greyflax The Mighty Quinn To Kilbourne. Strong sound dog. Good flat bone, small ears, strong neck. Moved well. 2. Girling's Pyefleet Percy. Very good shoulder, beautiful small ears, nice topline and low hocks. 3. Mrs G Pink's Greyhawks Romanie Rom ShCM.
PB. (8.3). 1. Vayro's Killoeter Nectar. Good body and bone. Dark eyes, excellent in movement with good angulation. Moved well. 2. Jackson's Aileymill's Jewel. Nice head. Dark eyes and good reach of neck. Lacked the bone of 1. 3. Rose's Gentiehun Mia-May.
JB. (6). 1. Peach's Witch Way To Kilbourne. Strong neck, good shoulder angulation. Nice flat bone. Moved well. 2. Robertson's Chuilinn Afra. Different type to 1. Lovely head with well set ears, good shoulder. 3. Foy's Glenfoyble Filliberry.
NB. (5). 1. Doak's Rosslyn Omega. Good length of neck, lovely ears, good angulation, dark eye. Deep rib. Moved well. 2. Vayro's Brackenland Tanis. Moved well, good body and bone and depth of rib. 3. Taylor's Lyart Yea Verily.
PGB. (9.3). 1. Cartmell's Dream Dance For Cusidh. Very good bitch, good shape and well angulated excellent shoulder. Good neck and feet. One for the future. 2. Bailey's Greyflax Milly Molly Mandy. Very shapely bitch. Good length and angulation. Lovely head and presence. 3. Rhodes' Kilbourne Charity Of Gentom.
LB. (8.1). 1. Doak's Rosslyn Mantra. Very shapely with well set ears. Good length of neck, good depth of rib. Moved well RCC. 2. Cartmell's Drawing Down The Moon To Cusidh. Good ears, deep body. Flat bone and good feet. Moved well. 3.MacBean's Killoeter Leyla.
OB. (9.5). 1. Parsons & McKinnon's Ch Claonaiglen Orrin. Very type and graceful bitch. Moved soundly with economy of movement. Deep rib, good bone and low hock. Lovely head and expression. CC and BOB. 2. Bailey's Ch Greyflax Waterloo Sunset. Good lengthy bitch. Exceptionally good shoulder, topline and angulation. Good bone. Lacked the depth of rib of 1. 3. Bailey's Ch Greyflax A Kind Of Magic JW.
